I am 53 and counting!

 It’s my 53 birthday

As part of celebrating my birthday and receiving my new year of life

I need to be grateful for what this past year has brought me…

I am grateful for what I have lived and not lived this year,

for getting my health back after being sick twice,

for beautiful moments spent with loved ones,

for new memories,

for the ones that take care of me,

for the friends that are part of my life,

for the love I give,

For my sons being healthy and good men,

for my parents being alive,

for the experiences lived and the lessons learned,

for sharing my life with my guy and my extended family,

for being able to start a new year of life...

I am grateful!

As the world turns…

As the world turns a new life is born
As the world turns a simple act of kindness is changing someone’s life
As the world turns someone is trying for the first time
As the world turns parents are proud of their child

As the world turns people are sharing their different views of life
As the world turns two souls are getting together in an act of love
As the world turns minds are thinking brilliant ideas
As the world turns a team is winning a championship
As the world turns there are joy and satisfaction from a job well done
As the world turns someone is crying to clean their soul

As the world turns there are words of encouragement someone needs to hear
As the world turns an artist is creating a magnificent piece
As the world turns memories are remembered and cherished
As the world turns a walk nature brings peace to someone
As the world turns there are eyes crying tears of happiness
As the world turns people are fighting for human rights
As the world turns an elderly is treated with respect

As the world turns someone is declaring their love
As the world turns two souls are sharing intimacy
As the world turns someone is getting married
As the world turns there is no color in the name of love
As the world turns there is someone believing in love again

As the world turns there are echoes
of laughter heard
As the world turns someone is dancing to a beautiful song
As the world turns music is uniting people
As the world turns there is hope in
someone's life
As the world turns a parent is taking care
of their child
As the world turns there is the hope of
a better world
As the world turns a hug is given
As the world turns someone is paying attention to other's needs
As the world turns there is no color in the name of love
As the world turns there is hope in someone’s life
As the world turns...

I am thankful and grateful...

for the smile, a stranger gave me unexpectedly
for the rain that wet my feet on my way to work yesterday
for the ray of sunshine that blinded my eyes when I was walking
for the singing of the bird that woke me up this morning when I wanted to sleep more
for that difference in opinion, I had with my friend that made me appreciate her more
for the times my parents didn’t let me do what I wanted because it wasn’t good for me
for all those people that aren’t part of my life anymore because, from them, I have learned a lesson
for that bad experience I had because it helped me be a better person
for the day that isn’t going well because make me appreciate the good ones
for those moments I felt a failure because it helped me grow as a person
for the days I doubt myself a little because it made me believe in myself more
for the good news, I saw on TV because it gave me hope in humanity
for those words my teacher told me when I thought I couldn’t make it
for that moment I didn’t like myself because it made me appreciate myself more
for that tear turned into a smile because made me believe in better days to come
for just opening my eyes this morning because I have one more day to live

Are you a believer?

Do you believe tomorrow might be a better day
Do you believe in humanity
Do you believe there’re more good people than bad ones
Do you believe a smile
from a stranger can make your day better
Do you believe in love even when you had a bad experience
Do you believe in the human spirit
Do you believe in the kid that struggles today academically
Do you believe that spending time in nature is a wonderful thing
Do you believe in lazy Sundays at home with your loved one
Do you believe that laughter can be contagious
Do you believe in the awesomeness of a sunset
Do you believe in the immensity of the black sky full of stars
Do you believe in love at first sight
Do you believe that life struggles won't last forever
Do you believe in hope
Do you believe hugs are powerful
Do you believe a kiss can turn your life upside down
Do you believe you are unique
     Do you believe in yourself
Do you BELIEVE

I have learned...

I have learned to be humble when success cover me
I have learned to keep my feet on the ground even though I have my head on the moon.
I have learned to be grateful even in the worst of times
I have learned to love myself when others harmed me
I have learned to smile when tears are inside my soul
I have learned to say thank you even to the smallest gesture
I have learned to wipe my tears
while struggling through difficult times
I have learned to be strong when all I want is to collapse
I have learned to keep going because tomorrow is a brand new day

Take care, Tere

Make your life a beautiful journey... every day

Every day is a brand new day full of opportunities and new experiences. Don’t forget to try to live your life to the fullest and to incorporate into your life those tiny things that will make your life a beautiful journey...

Laugh out loud
Hug tight
Admire the beauty
Kiss slowly
Listen carefully
Treat others with kindness
Touch lightly
Hum to a melody
Speak wisely
Caress a face
Dance anytime

Flirt a little
Sing lustily
Walk sexy
Feel the emotions
Smile gracefully
Cry for happiness
Dream the impossible
Love profoundly

Sometimes the life ride is bumpy

Life pulls you, pushes you, twists you many times without warning. You continue your way regardless of the obstacles. You fall, peel your knees but you keep walking until the fatigue overcomes you.

You recover and take the road again. Sweat and fatigue are your allies. Perseverance joins them when you least expect it. It is then that you realize that on this rocky path that you had to walk and extenuated at times from it; the most important thing is to believe in yourself, trust that every time your life is twisted you will find a way to straighten it and that your knees will be all well again.

Take care, Tere

Be grateful every day...

Be grateful for a sunny or a rainy day,
for the singing of the birds,
because someone opened a door for you,
for the bad and the good days
for a day at the beach,
for a tasty piece of cake,
because things are not going as you expected,
for reading a good book or writing a great story,
      for a tight, warm hug
for tears of sadness,
for times with friends and family,
     time with your love,
for the laughter of your kids,
for a sensual kiss,
           because someone holds your hand...
Be grateful every day because you are alive!
